Bishop J Drew & Lady Karen Sheard
Bishop Sheard’s ideas have propelled him to the forefront of both the civic and religious community, and have gained him recognition as a “bridge builder” to other denominations. Currently he serves a member of the Presidium of the Church of God in Christ, Jurisdictional Bishop of the Michigan- North Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, and as the Senior Pastor of Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ. In 2004, Bishop Sheard received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity, and in 2007, was inducted into the prestigious Morehouse College Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers. His wife Karen Clark – Sheard is an four-time Grammy Award winning singer, musician, and songwriter. The youngest daughter of pioneering gospel choral director Mattie Moss Clark, Sheard began her career as a member of the Grammy-Award winning, gospel legendary female group, The Clark Sisters, amongst having a solo career of her own.
Bishop and pastor Sedgwick Daniels was born the second youngest of eight children on August 16, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John and Kathleen Daniels. He became City of Milwaukee Plan Commissioner and the first Protestant board member of the Catholic Central City Schools. Daniels joined Antonio Riley and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority on several projects, assisting in developing a housing complex for seniors and developing Milwaukee home ownership.In 2001, Daniels was elevated to the role of Bishop by Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson and the Church of God in Christ General Board. Daniels’ jurisdiction covered more than 105 Institutional Church of God churches in Wisconsin and northern Illinois. During Daniels’ tenure as Bishop, his own church, Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ, became a multi-million dollar operation that addressed both the educational and social service needs in the Milwaukee community.
Mother Lewis has rendered distinguished service on the District and Jurisdictional levels and was selected in May 1988 by Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Charles E. Blake to serve as the Jurisdictional Supervisor. She received her appointment in November 1988 from the National Department of Women Dr. Mattie McGlothen General Supervisor. Bishop Joe L. Ealy is currently her Jurisdictional Prelate.Many new innovative programs have been implemented over the past twenty-six years. Among the most significant accomplishments is the completion in March 2002 of the 41-unit Hale Morris Lewis Senior Complex. The $4.7 million development is operated by the 501c3 Southern California COGIC Economic Development Corporation where Mother Lewis is President and CEO. This housing site is the focal point of community distribution of food, clothing, toys, and health/hygiene products. Weekly bible studies, computer classes quarterly health-screening and senior awareness workshops are all part of life-enhancing services.
Bishop Roderick L. Hennings is a prolific speaker, renowned teacher, a powerful preacher, an apologist, one used by the Holy Ghost to “change lives in an unchanging world”. He is a lecturer, a coach, and a leadership mentor. Roderick L. Hennings founded Zion Dominion Global Ministries in 1993. His unique ability to communicate the Word of God without compromise attracts people from different socioeconomic backgrounds; races and nationalities; and has caused a continued growth in membership from 20 at inception to currently over 4,000.Bishop Hennings successfully relocated Zion Dominion from a 30,700 square feet cathedral at 360 Genesee Street in Buffalo NY to a 14 acre campus at 895 North Forest Road in Amherst, NY in order to accommodate a global reach. As a result of his ministry and community efforts Genesee Street was renamed Roderick Hennings Way.
Angela Clinton currently works full-time for the Church of God in Christ, Inc as their Online Content Manager. She manage the Website Content, Social Media, and Brand Presence of the web. She also provides graphic support and function in a variety of other capacities for the Church. In addition to that, she am the Co-Owner of OptimzingYourFaith.com – a company that provide web design services, Social Media Strategies, and many other services to churches, ministries and businesses. Angela has made it a point to continually sharpen her skills in coding, brand marketing, graphic design, and social media.
